Seymour Mace is taking his Questionable Time panel show to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer.

The Ideal star will be joined by mystery guests every day at 5.30pm to chat nonsense and play silly games at The Stand’s flagship comedy club in the Scottish capital.

It will be the first time Mace has performed the philosophical panel show outside of Newcastle; he currently performs Questionable Time at The Stand on High Bridge every third Sunday.

Speaking to Giggle Beats in January, Mace said the show was for people like him, or comedians of his ilk, who like to talk nonsense off the top of their heads.

“It’ll have rounds and triggers to get people talking about stupid stuff, and once you get good comedians talking about stupid stuff you don’t need to do much else. It tends to be funny,” he said at the time.

Tickets for most Edinburgh Fringe shows went on sale at edfringe.com today, with a small number of fellow North East comedians joining Mace at the festival.

Gavin Webster may well have the best show title at the Fringe with his latest diatribe, A Controversial Title In Order To Sell Tickets, which sees the Geordie comedian explore the motives behind shock comedy.

Patrick Monahan is back at the Fringe with another high-energy hour at the Gilded Balloon, dubbed Adventures in Monahan Land.

While Hebburn creator Jason Cook returns to Edinburgh with his new show, Broken, after missing the last two festivals due to filming commitments.

Questionable Time runs 30 July to 24 August (not 11 or 13) at The Stand Comedy Club in Edinburgh. The show starts at 5.30pm, with tickets priced £8. Click for more information.
