New shows in Darlington, Bedale, Whitby and more.

North East comedy promoters Hilarity Bites have confirmed a batch of new stand-up shows for 2015.

Comedy fans in Darlington, Bedale and Whitby are in for a treat, with the likes of Lloyd Langford, Ray Peacock, Foil, Arms & Hog, George Ryegold and David Trent visiting the region next year.

Langford has two dates in the North East, with shows at Seen in Darlington and Hemelvaart Bier Cafe in Bedale on the 26 and 27 January.

Bedale also welcomes George Ryegold on 10 February with his new show, Iron Face in a Velvet Beard, while Ray Peacock brings his critically-acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe show, Here Comes Trouble, to Darlington on 18 February.

In March, David Trent makes two rare appearances in the North East as he performs his Fringe show at Hemelvaart Bier Cafe and Seen.

And rising sketch group Foil, Arms & Hog round off the spring with shows at the Whitby Coliseum and Seen on the 25 and 26 April.

Organiser Neil Jollie told Giggle Beats: “We’ve made a commitment to promote at least one solo show per month in 2015, be it a touring show, one-off show or a work-in-progress, and we’re really pleased to start by presenting shows from some of our favourite acts from the 2014 Fringe in Lloyd Langford, Ray Peacock, George Ryegold and David Trent.

“Throughout 2015 we’re hoping to present something a bit different for our audiences, with regular comedy clubs, solo shows, new act/new material nights and other exciting projects that we’re working on.”

Tickets for all shows are available to buy via hilaritybites.co.uk.
