Teesside’s tallest sketch troupes, Heavy Petting and Cheap Craic, are teaming up once again for THIS, Middlesbrough’s regular alternative comedy hullabaloo.

THIS has been a fixture of Middlesbrough’s comedy scene since 2012, offering a wide variety of sketches, stand-up comedy and general faffing about. The next night will take place at The Westgarth Social Club on Saturday 19 September.

While Heavy Petting provide light entertainment from the heart of darkness, Cheap Craic offer channel-hopping satirical silliness based around sports, adverts and history’s greatest inventors.

There are more sketches from the frighteningly funny Imp Queens, while stand-up comedy comes from Alistair Greaves and Carl B. Gillespie. In addition to all this entertainment, the night promises sweets, artwork and all sorts of other surprises.
