Top comics are to perform on the River Thames in aid of World Toilet Day.

Shappi Khorsandi, Arthur Smith, Bec Hill and several special guests will gig on the Tattershall Castle, a floating bar, on Wednesday 18 November to raise money for WaterAid.

World Toilet Day: It’s No Joke! is part of a campaign by WaterAid to raise awareness about the lack of safe, private toilets across the world.

Khorsandi said: “We all love a good toilet joke, don’t wee? But for millions of people around the world, toilets are no laughing matter. A shocking one in three people do not have access to a proper toilet.”

All profits from the event will go towards WaterAid’s life-saving work, and help get one step closer to a world where everyone everywhere has access to a safe, private toilet by 2030.

Tickets are £12 seated, £10 standing (£10 or £8 concession), and are available online at www.wateraid.org/uk/comedynight2015.
