Gunge

A free kids’ comedy show is to take place tomorrow in aid of Caring For Kian.

Gunge! A Show With Gunge In It, hosted by Lee Kyle, will be taking over The Stand Comedy Club in Newcastle on Sunday 28 February at 2pm (doors 1pm). Entry is free, and donations for the Caring For Kian fund will be taken at the end.

The show, which sees two teams compete in a series of ridiculous games, with the losing team’s captain getting ‘gunged’, is aiming to raise cash to send a young cancer sufferer Kian Musgrove to the United States for a pioneering new treatment.

The fund’s original target of £500,000 to cover the initial treatment has now been reached, however fundraising is still ongoing as travel, accommodation and aftercare for the local 3 year old still need to be covered.

A host of local comics are to appear in the show, including Si Buglass, Nicola Mantalios-Lovett, Katherine Tanney, Catherine Scott, Cal Halbert, Nick Cranston, Hannah Walker, David Callaghan, Lauren Pattison & Hal Branson.

Tickets are not required in advance but can be reserved by calling 0191 300 9700.
