30 years after Marty McFly stepped into the time travelling DeLorean, ‘Back to the Future’s biggest fan’ Keith Lemon is to create his own celebratory comedy special, Keith Lemon’s Back to the Future Tribute.

The 90-minute show for ITV2 will see the character comic remake some of his favourite Back to the Future scenes – alongside Paddy McGuinness, Gino D’Acampo and McBusted.

The episode will also see “Back to the Future obsessive Keith head off on a transatlantic pilgrimage to visit the film’s iconic locations and meet some of the original cast and crew including co-creator, Bob Gale. Keith will hang out with some of the film’s biggest fans, speak to boffins studying real time travel and will even have a go on a real life, working hover board.”

The show will air in the autumn to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the film and the day Marty McFly travelled to in the future for the second film.

Keith Lemon said: “Never did I fink 30 years ago I’d be on telly doing a ‘docu-com’ about 30 years of Back t’ Future.

“It’s well documented that I’m a massive BTTF fan but I’m not well documented for mecking documentaries. I’m very excited. I feel like a geeky 40 year old virgin, accept I’m not 40 and I’ve had loads of sex.

“Let’s get that flux capacitor fluxing!”
