Mock the Week is to return for its 15th series, the BBC has announced.

The new series of the hit topical news show will air in June, when it will also celebrate its 150th episode.

Dara O’Briain and Hugh Dennis will return for their 12th series, joined by regulars such as Ed Byrne, Milton Jones, Katherine Ryan, Josh Widdicombe, Rob Beckett, Zoe Lyons, Holly Walsh and Sara Pascoe.

Also making appearances in the new series will be Nish Kumar, Dane Baptiste and Rhys James.

A representative for the show said: “I know we say this every year, but the combination of new political figures and exciting debut performers will make the show more fun than listening to ‘Lemonade’ is for Jay-Z,.”

“We can’t wait to get started and, inspired by Leicester City, we’re convinced this is going to be our year. If we’re lucky with injuries, officials and the news stories, believe me, we won’t be far away when the TV Quick Awards are being handed out.”
