Sarah Millican has added a forth tour date at Middlesbrough Town Hall.

Teesside promoters Ten Feet Tall today confirmed a show on 10 October for Millican’s Home Bird tour after her dates on 11, 12 and 13 October sold out seven months in advance.

That takes Millican’s tour dates in the North East up to 15 – including eight nights at the Journal Tyne Theatre in Newcastle.

Graham Ramsay, of promoters Ten Feet Tall, said: “Sarah is absolutely one of our all-time favourite comics, and it seems that the people of Teesside love her to bits too.

“We’ve worked with Sarah right from the early days of her career, including gigs at Stockton’s Catch 22 at ARC, and it was always obvious that she was going to be a massive success.

Rob Guest, of Middlesbrough Town Hall, said: “Sarah’s previous show also broke all our box office records, but this is the first time we’ve ever had someone play for four nights in a row.

“She’s easily one of the most popular comics we’ve ever had here at the Town Hall, and the box office is already busy for this new date. We’re all really looking forward to four great nights here.”

Millican will also return the Edinburgh Fringe in August after a taking a year out in 2012.

In the meantime, however, she is fundraising for Comic Relief – with the help of her Twitter followers.

Millican, whose BBC2 chat show has just been given a third series, has asked her fans on the micro-blogging site to each raise £50 for charity.

In return, she will follow every member of #TeamMillican to keep track on their progress, as well as retweeting their fundraising activities.
