The Stand has unveiled its 2013 Edinburgh Fringe programme, with Stewart Lee, Richard Herring and Alexei Sayle among the big names playing the club.

All in all, The Stand is programming 37 shows every day across four stages – not including the Assembly Rooms and The Famous Spiegel Terrace, which are also run by The Stand.

The club’s full Fringe line-up includes the likes of Susan Calman, Simon Evans, Tony Law, Mark Thomas and Stephen K Amos, but also features a heavy North East presence.

Local comedians Gavin Webster, Simon Donald, Seymour Mace, Tony Jameson, Lee Kyle, Simon Buglass and So You Think You’re Funny finalist Jonathan Pelham are all playing the club in August.

And as we revealed last month, Lee Ridley, a.k.a Lost Voice Guy, will take his debut solo show, A Voice of Choice, to Edinburgh this summer.

Giggle Beats also understands that Sarah Millian will join the North East contingent at The Stand.

Director Tommy Sheppard says “We’re proud to be at the heart of the Fringe – and we’re proud that no comedian has ever lost money at The Stand during the Fringe.

“By keeping ticket prices down and artists’ costs low we’re defending innovation and experiment that keeps the spirit of the Fringe alive.”

Tickets are on sale from 4pm today.
