Following their Christmas show last December, comedy sketch show Laffalang is returning for a Valentine’s Day special.

On Thursday 12 and Friday 13 February 2015, the Laffalang gang will take over South Shields’ Westovian Theatre for an evening of songs, skits and silliness.

The show, whose Christmas special played to four hundred people, will feature thirteen new, specially written sketches by Ed Waugh, compered by former Hebburn actor and stand-up Steffen Peddie.

The Valentine’s outing will see Widow Twanky singing Lili Marlene to the Hunchback of Notre Dame, scenes from Geordie: The Musical, and Alnwick Stage Radio Ensemble (ARSE) tackling a Wuthering Heights mash-up.

Director Gareth Hunter said: “As it’s also near Pancake Day, we’ll be talking crepe. Plus, we’ll show you why John Noakes never made his own girlfriend out of sticky-back plastic.”

Valentine’s Day Laffalang, Westovian Theatre, South Shields, 12 – 13 February 2015, 7.30pm. Tickets are £10, available from the Haven Point Sports Centre’s Tourist Information Point (0191 4247788), or on the door.
