The festival will see Parliament Street is transformed into a giant village green, with performances held in two Spiegeltents – The White Rose Rotunda and The Turn Pot – as well as specially commissioned venue The Tea Pot.
Founder Martin Witts says he is “delighted at the calibre of the comedy stars we have signed up.”
This week, the first Leeds Comedy Festival will be bringing stand-up and sketch to the city centre.
Taking place in Topcliffe, North Yorkshire, the festival will welcome a number of comedy acts to their Big Top stage, including last year’s Edinburgh Panel Prize winners Funz and Gamez.
York’s alternative comedy night is back at The Black Swan on Tuesday 12 May 2015.
Murray will bring The Pub Landlord’s Saloon show to York’s Parliament Square on Friday 24 July and Saturday 25 July.

A surrealist stand-up, headliner Lou Sanders has written for Channel 4’s Stand-Up for the Week and BBC3’s Laughtershock, as well as making appearances on Stewart Lee’s Alternative Comedy Experience and Russell Howard’s Good News.
