TV comic Russell Kane is to play Stockton’s ARC on Saturday 4 June next year.

The hi-octane comic is best known for his appearances on Live at the Apollo, Celebrity Juice, and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now! and as the host of three series of BBC3’s Live at the Electric.

Nominated four times for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award before winning Best Show in 2010, Kane went on to make history as the first comic to win both the Edinburgh Award and Melbourne Comedy Festival’s Barry Award in the same year.

Now in his new show Right Man, Wrong Age Kane asks; “Are you 16 years old but feel 21? Are you 40, but tragically faking 25? Or maybe you’re full-on 80 years old, but still have the spirit and energy of someone half that age? Don’t worry, this is normal. No one is ever the ‘right’ age – it’s the beauty and curse of being a real person.”

Graham Ramsay of promoters Ten Feet Tall said: “We’ve done a few shows with Russell over the years, and it’s been great to watch him develop his act… and his own quirky look!

“Now he’s really at the top of his game, and it will be great to see the show in such an intimate space. Another great coup for ARC, and the comedy scene on Teesside.”

Tickets are £16.00 and available now from ARC’s Box Office on 01642 525 199 or www.arconline.co.uk.
